EXPECTANT GENEROUSITY

Expectant generosity can be defined as an anticipatory eagerness to give, share, and serve, often without a specific request or requirement. It goes beyond occasional acts of kindness and becomes a way of life—a spiritual mindset in which individuals and communities give joyfully and sacrificially of their time, energy, and resources, as though they truly believe that God’s preferred future demands nothing less than the boldness of their generosity. Those who practice expectant generosity are rooted in the conviction that giving and sharing are fundamental portions of their identity, their purpose, and their discipleship to Jesus. They are driven by a desire to make a significant impact, convinced that “they will be enriched in every way for their great generosity, which will produce thanksgiving to God” (2 Corinthians 9:11).
