Faith Forum: All Creatures Great & Small

Join us for a Summer Faith Forum focused on the ethical treatment and stewardship of all God’s creatures - great and small.

Teaching faculty for the hybrid 4-week summer Faith Forum (in person and on zoom) will now include Rev Eric Park, Dr. Alyssa Cady, Yale Law alum/animal rights lawyer Rebekka Bonner, & Humane Society NYS Director Brian Shapiro.

  • Sunday, July 7 @ 11am:   The Holy Bible, “Dominion”, and God's Creation:  Covenant and Interdependence.  

  • Sunday, July 14 @ 11am: How the Church and the Synagogue Practice Animal Stewardship:  Judeo-Christian Institutions, Practices, Values and Views.  

  • Sunday, July 21 @ 11am: Right Treatment of Animals:  Animals, Ethics, and the Law

  • Sunday, July 28 @ 11am: Discerning Personal Faith-Based Approaches to Our Day-to-Day Relationships With Animals:  Practical Case Studies (e.g., Trophy Hunting, Carnism/Vegetarianism/Veganism, Pets, etc. - participants in the summer seminar will select 1-2 areas for focused discussion)
